Acer Introduces Chromebook Plus Spin Models and TravelMate P Series Laptops at Computex 2024

As Computex 2024 approaches its grand commencement next week, an array of companies are already unveiling their forthcoming hardware innovations ahead of the June 4 event. Acer, in particular, has introduced a series of new TravelMate laptops imbued with AI functionalities, sporting up to Intel Core Ultra 7 processors coupled with Intel vPro Enterprise branding. Additionally, Acer has rolled out fresh Chromebook Plus Spin models featuring Intel Core 7 CPUs and meeting the rigorous MIL-STD 810H certification standards. Pricing Details for Acer TravelMate P6 14, TravelMate P4 Series, and Chromebook Plus Spin Series

The Acer TravelMate P6 14 is slated to start at $1,429 (approximately Rs. 1,19,200), whereas the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 will commence at $1,329 (around Rs. 1,10,900). The TravelMate P4 16 and TravelMate P4 14 are priced at $1,229 (roughly Rs. 1,02,500) and $949 (approximately Rs. 79,200), respectively. These models are scheduled for a North American release in July, with the EMEA markets following in the third quarter of 2024.

Conversely, the newly introduced Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 514 is priced at $549 (about Rs. 45,800). The Chromebook Plus Enterprise 515 and Chromebook Plus Enterprise Spin 514 are priced at $649 (approximately Rs. 54,200) and $749 (about Rs. 62,500), respectively. Select models will become available in North America by August, with EMEA availability starting in July.

Specifications of Acer TravelMate P6 14, TravelMate P4 Series

Most of the TravelMate P series laptops announced by Acer boast up to Intel Core Ultra 7 processors paired with Intel graphics, and they support up to 64GB of RAM. The exception, the TravelMate P4 14, features up to AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 8840U processors with AMD Radeon 780M graphics.

The Acer TravelMate P6 14 showcases a 14-inch WQXGA (2,880×1,800 pixels) OLED display, while the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 flaunts a 14-inch WUXGA (1,920×1,200 pixels) IPS screen. The TravelMate P4 14 and TravelMate P4 16 come with 14-inch and 16-inch IPS displays, respectively, both at WUXGA (1,920×1,200 pixels) resolution.

These laptops are outfitted with up to 65Wh batteries, promising up to 14 hours of usage on a single charge. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, along with an array of ports such as two Thunderbolt 4 and an HDMI 2.0 port. Storage options extend up to 1GB of NVMe storage.

The enterprise-centric Acer Chromebook Plus models are equipped with up to Intel Core 7 processors and support up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The Chromebook Plus Spin 514 and Chromebook Plus Enterprise Spin 514 offer up to 128GB of NVMe storage, while the Chromebook Plus Enterprise 515 provides up to 512GB of NVMe storage.

The Spin 514 and Enterprise Spin 514 feature a 14-inch WUXGA (1,920×1,200 pixels) IPS display, whereas the Enterprise 515 model sports a 15.6-inch full HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS screen.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, alongside two USB Type-C ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, and an HDMI 1.4 port. All three models are equipped with a 53Wh battery, delivering up to 10 hours of battery life per charge, according to Acer.
