A disastrous avalanche struck Agoncillo town in Batangas province, south of Manila, early on Wednesday morning. Four people were killed in the landslide, which was caused by the unceasing rains; among them was a woman who was six months pregnant. Prior to six in the morning, according to local authorities, a tragedy occurred.

Identification of the Agoncillo Landslide Victims
In a radio interview, Mayor Cinderella Reyes of Agoncillo town confirmed the devastating news. A 28-year-old pregnant mother, her nine-year-old child, and her 13- and 15-year-old siblings were among the victims. Since then, the four victims’ bodies have been found by rescuers. Thankfully, Mayor Reyes said that no one has been reported missing as of yet.
