After mass uprising and unrest, the interim government has changed the entire machinery of the country within a month. The situation in the capital Dhaka had become normal since the formation of the interim government.

Meanwhile, the hardline Jamaat-e-Islami party, a supporter of the Yunus government, has raised its voice for changing Bangladesh’s national anthem ‘Amar Sonar Bangla’ written by Rabindranath Tagore. However, Khalid Hussain, the Minister of Religious Affairs in the interim government, has refused to change the national anthem.

However, experts say that the interim government has formed a committee of retired army officers to change the constitution. The army-backed interim government will eliminate the symbols associated with Bangladesh’s freedom struggle in the coming days. The statue of Banga Bandhu Mujibur Rahman has been demolished in the student movement. In such a situation, there should be no surprise in changing the national anthem.
