Union home minister Amit Shah on Wednesday accused West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee of resorting to “appeasement politics,” while appreciating the Calcutta HC’s decision to scrap OBC certificates issued by her govt, reports Rohit Khanna. “I welcome the court’s decision to scrap OBC certificates issued by the West Bengal govt which illegally benefitted Muslims with reservations while depriving OBCs of their rights.The decision exposes Mamata Banerjee and INDIA bloc‘s politics of appeasement. She has openly criticised the order of the honourable court but BJP will not allow TMC to trample on the rights of OBCs,” Shah said.
