On Monday, May 20, actor Akshay Kumar arrived early at the polls to cast his vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.Actors from Bollywood have begun to form lines as Maharashtra is currently holding polls for the Lok Sabha elections’ fifth round. Actor Akshay Kumar spoke with the media outside his polling place while showing off his inked finger and casting his first ballot as an Indian citizen again.
Speaking to the media, Akshay Kumar conveyed his joy at being able to cast his first ballot as an Indian citizen in August 2023. “I want my India to be strong and developed,” he declared. Considering that, I cast my vote. India ought to elect those who they believe to be correct. I anticipate strong voter turnout.”

When his 15 consecutive box office failures occurred in the 1990s, Akshay Kumar applied for Canadian citizenship. But in 2019, after his career took off in India, he submitted an application to become an Indian citizen.
Akshay had already mentioned giving up his Canadian passport. “To me, India is everything.Everything I have acquired and everything I have earned comes from here. And I’m lucky to have the opportunity to give something back. The actor said, “You feel bad when people say things without knowing anything,” in an Aaj Tak interview.
Actors Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, who starred in “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi,” joined Akshay to the polls early in the morning to cast their ballots. On Monday, May 20, Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar also went to vote.
