Former India cricketer turned commentator Ambati Rayudu has slammed RCB management after their team’s exit from the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024. Notably, the Faf du Plessis-led side got knocked out of the tournament after a four-wicket loss against RR in the Eliminator. After the tragic end to Bengaluru’s IPL campaign, Rayudu sympathized with RCB fans and lauded them for their support despite their team’s poor performances over the years.
He further slammed the team management and leaders for keeping individual milestones ahead of team’s interests. The former batter also mentioned RCB’s inability to retain good players and urged the fans to bring in players who will put team’s interest first.
“My heart truly goes out to all the RCB supporters who have passionately supported the team over the years. If only the management and the leaders had the teams interests ahead of individual milestones .. rcb would have won multiple titles. Just remember how many fantastic players have been let go off. Force your management to bring players who will put teams interests first. A great new chapter can start from the mega auction,” wrote Rayudu on his X handle.
